Alumni Give Back in Thailand with Internship Opportunities for UCEAP Students

In her first weeks as UCEAP Associate Vice Provost & Executive Director, Vivian-Lee Nyitray had the opportunity to visit with UCEAP partner, Thammasat University in Bangkok, Thailand.  Dr. Nyitray attended a lovely dinner for current students and five local UCEAP alumni.

Piyamit Chomprasob (Thailand Fall 2005) is a Senior Partnerships Manager at USAID and Matthew Stevens (Thailand 2004-05) works for a venture capital firm in Bangkok.  Both Matthew and Piyamit live in Thailand and work with UCEAP to provide internship opportunities for current and future UCEAP students.  Experiential learning opportunities are now considered a vital part of every UC student’s undergraduate experience.  A big thank you to all of our alumni who are giving back to our program through internship opportunities!

“My experience as an exchange student in the EAP Program changed my life in many substantial ways. I not only became immersed in a culture far different than my own, but I also grew and matured as an individual being exposed to so many different people with a background far different than mine. I am very grateful to have had that experience and to still be connected to the EAP program.” - Matthew Stevens
